Bruker Collaborates With Imec to Expand NanoIR Spectroscopy Into Semiconductor Research

08:12 AM EDT, 04/07/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Bruker ( BRKR ) said Tuesday that it is collaborating with research and development organization imec to expand the use of the company's AFM-IR spectroscopy technology into next-generation semiconductor research areas.

The company said it installed its Dimension IconIR system to evaluate nanoscale chemical characterization of materials used in semiconductor devices.

The system enables label-free chemical analysis with sub-5-nanometer resolution, according to a statement.

Bruker ( BRKR ) said the platform expands nanoscale infrared spectroscopy beyond contamination analysis into EUV photoresists, transistor scaling, and advanced interfaces.
