BTQ Technologies to Acquire Quantum Computing Firm QPerfect
Nov 11, 2025 6:13 AM

08:33 AM EST, 11/11/2025 (MT Newswires) -- BTQ Technologies ( BTQ ) said Tuesday it has invested about 2 million euros ($2.31 million) for a minority stake in QPerfect SA and has exercised its option to acquire the remaining securities of the company, a neutral-atom quantum computing firm based at the European Center for Quantum Science in Strasbourg, France.

The acquisition, expected to close by the end of 2025 pending regulatory approvals, will integrate QPerfect's operations into BTQ, creating an end-to-end quantum technology platform spanning cryptography, emulation, and fault-tolerant quantum control, the company said.

Following the acquisition, BTQ said it plans to base its European R&D hub in Strasbourg, where it will work on demonstrating quantum logic units and next-generation quantum-safe digital signatures, aiming toward commercial quantum advantage and industrial-scale quantum systems.

BTQ shares were 2.3% higher in premarket trading.
