Bunge Global Q3 Adjusted Earnings, Net Sales Decrease; Updates 2024 Adjusted EPS Guidance

06:49 AM EDT, 10/30/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Bunge Global SA ( BG ) reported Q3 adjusted earnings Wednesday of $2.29 per diluted share, down from $2.99 a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $2.15.

Net sales for the quarter ended Sept. 30 were $9.29 billion, down from $10.08 billion a year earlier.

Five analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $13.2 billion.

Bunge said it now expects 2024 adjusted EPS of at least $9.25.That compares with its prior guidance of only around 9.25. Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expect $9.43.

The Supreme Court Tuesday deferred to November 5 the hearing on a batch of pleas relating to charging of interest on interest by banks on EMIs which were not paid by the borrowers who availed of the RBI loan moratorium scheme in view of the COVID19 pandemic. The Reserve Bank of India and the Finance Ministry have already filed separate additional affidavits in the apex court saying that the banks, financial and nonbanking financial institutions will credit into the accounts of eligible borrowers by November 5 the difference between compound and simple interest collected on loans of up to Rs 2 crore during the moratorium scheme period.
