12:24 PM EST, 01/13/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Bunker Hill Mining ( BHLL ) Monday said it expects to restart production at the Bunker Hill mine Idaho in the second quarter.
The company is moving forward with construction of the processing facility, continuing rehabilitation efforts to improve underground operations, and is on track to issue a new mineral estimate report during the first quarter.
"Following a demanding but safe 2024, the Bunker team and valued partners begin 2025 determined to restart operations in the second quarter, creating new American mining jobs within the Silver Valley and providing critical metal into the North American supply chain", said chief executive Sam Ash. "The long-term supply of Bunker Hill's zinc and lead-silver concentrates to Teck's Trail Smelter in British Columbia will strengthen American industrial resilience at this increasingly competitive time."
The Bunker Hill mine was closed in 1981.
Bunker Hill shares were last seen up $0.005 to $0.16 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
