Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $0.96.
Revenue for the quarter ended Aug. 3 was $2.47 billion, up from $2.17 billion a year earlier.
Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $2.42 billion.
For fiscal year 2024, the retailer now expects adjusted EPS of $7.66 to $7.96, higher than $7.35 to $7.75 previously. Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ are looking for $7.71.
Adjusted EPS for fiscal Q3 is expected to be $1.45 to $1.55. Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expect $1.37.
Burlington shares were more than 4% higher in premarket trading.
