C3.ai, Dow's Univation Unit to Offer Customized AI-Powered Predictive Maintenance Services

08:24 AM EDT, 06/30/2025 (MT Newswires) -- C3.ai ( AI ) and Dow's (DOW) Univation Technologies unit said Monday that they have signed a cooperation deal for the commercialization of customized artificial intelligence-powered predictive maintenance services for the petrochemical sector.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Under the terms, Univation will license and distribute the C3.ai ( AI ) software currently in use at Dow, the companies said, adding that Univation will also offer specialized technical services for the initial implementation and current enhancements of the software for clients.

The companies said they will integrate the C3 Agentic AI Platform, the C3 AI Reliability application and Univation's expertise in licensing technology and technical services to provide an AI tool that tracks equipment challenges, increases uptime and optimizes operational performance for steam cracker operations.
