09:01 AM EDT, 07/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Cadence Design Systems ( CDNS ) said in a regulatory filing Wednesday that the Bureau of Industry and Security of the US Department of Commerce has rescinded the license requirements for the transfer to China or a Chinese military user of its electronic design automation software, effective immediately.

The bureau informed the company in May that such a license was required under export control regulations, the company said.

Cadence said it is in the process of restoring access to the software and technology for affected customers.

Shares were 4.8% higher in recent premarket activity.
