10:38 AM EDT, 10/23/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Cadiz (CDZI) and RIC Energy said Wednesday they are collaborating to build California's largest green hydrogen facility at Cadiz Ranch in the Mojave Desert.
Cadiz will provide land and water to RIC Energy to produce 100% green hydrogen using solar energy. Rail lines, pipelines, and highways will transport the hydrogen to Southern California, fueling zero-emission trucks, cars, and power generation.
Cadiz will provide up to 500 acre-feet of water each year for hydrogen production and will also use green hydrogen and solar energy to power its own water supply and groundwater operations. When fully operational, the facility will produce 50,000 kilograms of hydrogen daily, the companies said.
