04:01 PM EST, 11/20/2025 (MT Newswires) -- CAE (CAE.TO, CAE) said Thursday it signed a worldwide cooperation agreement making the company Saab's preferred supplier for select training and simulation requirements tied to its GlobalEye Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) aircraft and other platforms.
The deal also includes a Canada-specific agreement to jointly pursue the country's AEW&C program.
CAE Chief executive Matt Bromberg said the partnership "sets the stage for a global AEW&C training franchise anchored in Canada," adding that the agreement responds to an evolving geopolitical landscape that requires more integrated defence partnerships.
Saab CEO Micael Johansson said the partnership reinforces the company's long-term plan to expand AEW capacity and supports GlobalEye customers with "best-in-class training."
Under the global agreement, CAE will provide simulation-based training solutions in support of Saab's international GlobalEye campaigns and other AEW&C programs. CAE will supply flight-training devices, integrated mission platforms and digital training content, while leveraging its global training-center network to deliver pilot and maintenance training.
The cooperation focused on Canada will combine Saab's airborne surveillance expertise with CAE's training capabilities to offer a tailored solution for the country's AEW&C requirements. The companies said the activities could generate economic growth and high-value jobs across Canada and support new intellectual-property development in surveillance platforms.
Saab's GlobalEye integrates active and passive sensors for multi-domain surveillance, while CAE provides training systems aligned with platform upgrades.
CAE's shares dropped $0.05 to $36.46 in Toronto at last look on Thursday.
