A top team from Cairn Energy is calling upon the finance ministry for finding a resolution on the years' old tax dispute.

CNBC-TV18’s Timsy Jaipuria spoke exclusively to Cairn Energy CEO Simon Thomson ahead of the meeting with government officials.

“The arbitration has been ongoing for considerable time. We are pleased that it has come to an end, the award has been granted and we want this to be resolved as quickly as possible. Therefore, we are looking forward to our discussion with the government,” said Thomson.
