Calian Announces $250 Million Contract Amendment With Department of National Defence
Jul 8, 2025 8:21 AM

11:09 AM EDT, 07/08/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Calian Group ( CLNFF ) on Tuesday announced a $250-million extension to its existing Health Care Provider Recruitment (HCPR) contract with the Department of National Defence (DND), "as geopolitical tensions rise".

The company said the contract amendment activates a previously approved option, which consolidates unspent funds from option period 5 with planned funding for option period 6, ensuring uninterrupted delivery of care across Canadian Armed Forces clinics, supporting both day-to-day readiness and deployment capability.

The HCPR supplies physicians, nurses, dentists and mental health professionals to clinics operated by the Armed Forces.

"We are proud to play a role in safeguarding the health of Canadian Armed Forces members. Operational readiness is rooted in resilience-and that starts with a healthy force. This work matters and we take pride in supporting the well-being of CAF members so they can focus on the mission," chief executive Kevin Ford said in a release.

Shares of the company were last seen up $0.31 to $50.62 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

Price: 50.62, Change: +0.31, Percent Change: +0.62
