12:56 PM EDT, 07/15/2025 (MT Newswires) -- California Governor Gavin Newsom on Tuesday launched the California Breakthrough Project, a new initiative that brings together tech leaders and innovators to streamline and improve state government operations.

The task force includes leaders from Coinbase (COIN), Snap (SNAP), Instacart (CART), and Anduril along with investors and other tech executives.

Newsom also signed an executive order directing state agencies to adopt efficiency measures and explore improvements in hiring, procurement, and public service delivery.
