California Water Service Plans $1.6 Billion Investments in California Water Systems
Jul 9, 2024 7:27 AM

10:03 AM EDT, 07/09/2024 (MT Newswires) -- California Water Service Group ( CWT ) said Tuesday that its California Water Service ( CWT ) unit plans to invest more than $1.6 billion in its districts from 2025 to 2027.

The plans are included in the Infrastructure Improvement Plans in the unit's general rate case filing with the California Public Utilities Commission, the company said.

About 46% of the proposed infrastructure improvements would replace old water pipelines to support the everyday and emergency needs of customers and firefighters, the company said.

California Water Service ( CWT ) also proposes a low-use water equity program that would decouple revenue from water sales to help lower-income customers with low water usage, the company said.
