Cal-Maine Foods Fiscal Q3 Net Income, Sales Drop; Shares Rise

04:29 PM EDT, 04/02/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Cal-Maine Foods ( CALM ) reported fiscal Q3 earnings Tuesday of $3.00 per diluted share, down from $6.62 a year earlier.

Three analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $2.45.

Net sales for the quarter ended March 2 were $703.1 million, down from $997.5 million a year earlier. Two analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $692.4 million.

The company shares were up 8.5% in after hours activity.
