Canada in contact with foreign regulators on probe of titanium in Boeing, Airbus jets

MONTREAL, June 14 (Reuters) - Canada's transportation

regulator said on Friday it was in contact with foreign

regulators for a coordinated approach to allegations that Boeing ( BA )

and Airbus were sold titanium components with

fake documentation.

Transport Canada, in an emailed statement, said it was also

working with Canadian manufacturers to ensure proper management

of any safety implications of the issue, and that it "will not

hesitate to take action" to protect the public.
