Canadian National Railway Appoints Janet Drysdale as Interim Chief Commercial Officer

05:14 PM EDT, 07/21/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Canadian National Railway ( CNI ) after trade Monday Janet Drysdale has been appointed as interim chief commercial officer, effective immediately.

Drysdale is taking over the role following the departure of Rem Lalonde, the company said, adding that "the appointment of a permanent chief commercial officer is a priority."

Over the years, Drysdale has held various roles at the company, including executive positions in investor relations, finance, corporate/business development, sustainability, and most recently as chief stakeholder relations officer, CN said.

Drysdale is also an independent director of Brazil's largest freight railway, Rumo, and chairs the board of the railway association of Canada, and sits on the board of the Canadian American business council, according to the statement.
