01:56 PM EDT, 09/27/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Canadian National Railway ( CNI ) said Friday that Unifor filed a notice of dispute three days into negotiations with the company.

The union represents over 3,000 mechanical, clerical, and intermodal employees in Canada across three collective agreements that are set to expire on Dec. 31, the company said.

Canadian National Railway ( CNI ) said it was disappointed by the notice "so early in the process," but was committed to reaching agreements with the union.
