10:42 AM EST, 11/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Canadian Natural Resources ( CNQ ) said Monday it closed its asset swap deal with Shell's (SHEL) Canadian unit related to the Athabasca Oil Sands Project, gaining full ownership of the Albian oil sands mines and adding about 31,000 barrels a day of annual bitumen production.

Following the transaction, the company raised its 2025 production guidance to a range of 1.56 million to 1.58 million barrels of oil equivalent per day, and maintained its operating capital forecast at about $5.9 billion.
