Canadian Solar Outlines Plan to Resume Direct Oversight of US Manufacturing, Operations; Shares Up Pre-Bell

07:54 AM EST, 12/01/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Canadian Solar ( CSIQ ) said Monday it plans to resume direct oversight of its US operations and to continue reshoring production to North America.

The company will establish new joint ventures with American shareholders and its majority-owned CSI Solar unit.

Canadian Solar ( CSIQ ) said it will hold a 75% controlling interest in CS PowerTech, which will operate US-based manufacturing and sales of solar modules, solar cells, and advanced energy storage systems.

The company will acquire from CSI Solar 75% ownership of certain overseas facilities that support its US operations.

Canadian Solar ( CSIQ ) shares were up nearly 14% in recent premarket activity.
