Canadian Solar Says US Patent, Trademark Office Board Invalidates Trina's Patents

07:35 AM EDT, 04/17/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Canadian Solar ( CSIQ ) said Friday a US Patent and Trademark Office board has issued final decisions invalidating all claims of two tunnel oxide passivated contact solar cell patents.

Trina Solar previously asserted the patents against certain Canadian Solar ( CSIQ ) subsidiaries, the company said.

Canadian Solar ( CSIQ ) shares were up 1.3% in premarket activity.
