Canadian Solar Swings to Q4 Loss as Revenue Declines; Sets Q1, 2024 Sales Guidance

06:37 AM EDT, 03/14/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Canadian Solar ( CSIQ ) reported a Q4 loss Thursday of $0.02 per diluted share, swinging from earnings of $1.11 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected the company to break even.

Net revenue for the quarter ended Dec. 31 was $1.7 billion, down from $1.98 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $1.69 billion.

The company said it expects Q1 total revenue of $1.2 billion to $1.4 billion and 2024 sales of between $8.5 billion and $9.5 billion. Analysts polled by Capital IQ expect sales of $1.9 billion and $9.44 billion, respectively.
