05:17 PM EST, 12/10/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Canfor Corporation ( CFPZF ) after trade Tuesday said it acquired 7% of the outstanding shares of Vida AB effective immediately.

The shares were purchased from minority shareholders exercising their option rights under the February, 2019 agreement, in which Canfor ( CFPZF ) acquired 70% of Vida AB, the company said.

With this transaction complete, Canfor ( CFPZF ) now owns 77% of the Swedish sawmill firm, the company added.
