05:15 PM EDT, 07/22/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Canfor ( CFPZF ) on Monday said chief executive Don Kayne will retire from the company at year end as it named Susan Yurkovich, its Senior Vice President of Global Business Development, as his successor.

Payne has been with the forest-products company for 46 years and was named as chief executive in 2011.

The company said Yurkovich has three decades of experience in the natural-resources sector and has been with Canfor ( CFPZF ) for 12 years.

Canfor ( CFPZF ) shares closed up $0.07 to $14.87 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
