10:26 AM EDT, 09/24/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Canoo ( GOEV ) said Tuesday that it has officially launched in the UK by establishing Canoo Technologies UK Ltd.

The company said it has picked Bicester Motion, a historic automotive campus, as a key location that will serve as its future operations, customer, and activation center.

The expansion is aimed at capitalizing on the strong demand in the light commercial vehicle market, the company said, adding that it will adopt a customer-focused approach in the UK market, prioritizing configurations that meet the diverse needs of commercial and government fleet customers.

Shares of Canoo ( GOEV ) fell past 1% in recent trading activity.
