08:52 AM EST, 11/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Canopy Growth ( CGC ) said Tuesday it has named Luc Mongeau as chief executive officer, effective Jan. 6.

He succeeds David Klein, who will step down as chief executive and as a board member, the company said, adding that Klein will serve as a special advisor until Aug. 31.

Mongeau most recently served as chief executive of ESolutions Furniture, an online provider of residential and commercial furniture, and previously as president of both Weston Foods and Mars Petcare North America.

Mongeau joined Canopy Growth's ( CGC ) board as an observer in early 2023 and became a member in February 2024.
