12:58 PM EDT, 09/08/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Canterra Minerals ( CTMCF ) on Monday provided prospecting results from its Wilding Gold Project in Central Newfoundland, including its highest-ever gold sample of 535 grams per tonne of gold.

The company said the discovery highlights extensive high-grade mineralization along a 55-kilometer gold-bearing corridor, confirming Wilding's potential as a district-scale project.

Canterra noted its land position is adjacent to Equinox Gold's (EQX.TO) Valentine Mine, positioning the project within Newfoundland's emerging Central Newfoundland gold camp.

"With Equinox Gold's Valentine Gold Mine now in production immediately next door, and our first significant high-grade results extending across the next 50 km of the corridor, Canterra is strategically positioned in one of Canada's most exciting emerging gold camps," said chief executive Chris Pennimpede.

Shares of Canterra Minerals ( CTMCF ) were last seen up $0.025, or 24%, to $0.13 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
