Mar 16, 2026 7:29 AM

10:14 AM EDT, 03/16/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Capital Southwest ( CSWC ) and Trinity Capital ( TRIN ) said Monday they have formed a joint venture that will primarily invest in first-out senior secured debt opportunities in the lower middle market.

The companies said the joint venture will be equally owned, with each committing $50 million for a 50% stake, while investment and operational decisions will be overseen by a board of managers with equal representation from both companies.

The venture is expected to obtain leverage through a senior-secured credit facility, with borrowings used to fund portfolio investments, the companies said.
