04:11 PM EST, 02/20/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Capri Holdings ( CPRI ) is providing Italian fashion rival Prada with exclusive access to Versace's financial data and other information for the next four weeks as Prada weighs a potential bid to buy the upscale apparel brand, according to multiple media reports.
Capri, formerly Michael Kors Holdings, rebranded in January 2019 after the acquisition of Versace. The company, which also bought the Jimmy Choo shoe line in November 2017, has been working with Barclays to explore a potential sale of both brands, Reuters reported earlier this year.
The four-week exclusivity deal for Prada was first reported by Il Sole 24, an Italian business daily.
Capri and Prada did not immediately reply to MT Newswires seeking comment and additional information.
