Capstone Copper Names Former Freeport-McMoRan Executive Rick Coleman to Its Board

04:51 PM EST, 01/13/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Capstone Copper ( CSCCF ) said Monday afternoon Rick Coleman will join its board of directors, effective Wednesday.

Coleman brings over 45 years of mining industry experience in operations, development, and growth. He recently retired from Freeport-McMoRan ( FCX ) after 30 years, where he managed operations in Indonesia and later led corporate technical support in the United States.

"Rick brings extensive experience and expertise in mining operations, development and capital project construction and commissioning across the globe. With a proven track record over his long career, I am sure Rick will play a key role in Capstone's continued success," board chair Darren Pylot said in a release.

Capstone shares closed down $0.15 to $8.54 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
