09:07 AM EDT, 10/11/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Cardiol Therapeutics ( CRDL ) said in a regulatory filing Thursday that it has closed its public offering of 8,437,500 class A common shares at $1.60 per share for gross proceeds of $13.5 million.

The life sciences company said it plans to use the net proceeds to support the clinical development of CardiolRx to treat recurrent pericarditis, as well as for general and administrative expenses, working capital, and other expenses.

Shares of Cardiol Therapeutics ( CRDL ) were up 2.2% in recent premarket activity.
