CHICAGO, July 2 (Reuters) - Cargill plans to resume
slaughtering cattle on Friday at its Dodge City, Kansas, beef
plant, after weekend rains caused a partial roof collapse, the
company said on Tuesday.
One of four major U.S. beef processors, Cargill is using its
broad supply chain to minimize disruptions to customers and
livestock producers, according to an emailed statement. It said
the Kansas plant resumed operations on Tuesday on its
fabrication floor, where meat is cut into pieces.
