CarMax Names David McCreight as Interim President and CEO; Bill Nash Stepping Down From Position Dec. 1

10:13 AM EST, 11/06/2025 (MT Newswires) -- CarMax ( KMX ) said Thursday it has named board member David McCreight as interim president and chief executive, succeeding Bill Nash.

Nash is stepping down from his position effective Dec. 1

In addition, current Board Chair Tom Folliard has been appointed interim executive chair of the board, the company said.

The used car retailer said it is continuing its search for a permanent CEO.
