10:30 AM EDT, 06/13/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Carrier Global ( CARR ) said Thursday that the Science Based Targets initiative has validated its greenhouse gas emission reduction targets, including reaching net-zero emissions by 2050.

The validated targets included a 42% reduction in scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030 from a 2021 base year, and a 25% reduction in scope 3 emissions by 2030.

Shares of Carrier Global ( CARR ) were down 1.8% in recent trading.
