08:23 AM EDT, 09/09/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Casella Waste Systems ( CWST ) said Monday it has agreed to acquire Royal Carting and Welsh Sanitation and related real estate assets.

The transaction is expected to close in Q4.

Casella said it would gain access to two solid waste collection operations and two transfer stations in New York from the acquisition.

Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

Casella shares were up 5% in recent Monday premarket activity.
