10:49 AM EDT, 10/07/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Castor Maritime ( CTRM ) took delivery of the M/V Raphaela containership vessel on Thursday.

The 1,850 20-foot equivalent unit vessel, built in 2008, was bought with cash on hand, the company said Monday in a statement. The acquisition was announced on Sept. 10 for $16.5 million

The vessel was booked under a time charter contract with a four-month duration at a gross daily rate of $29,000, the company said.
