12:06 PM EST, 01/06/2025 (MT Newswires) -- CBAK Energy Technology ( CBAT ) said Monday its Nanjing CBAK New Energy Technology unit received purchase orders for its Model 32140 cylindrical lithium-ion battery cells from India's Ather Energy.

Ather will start integrating the battery cells into its electric two-wheelers, with expectations for a long-term partnership and "consistent" order flow, the firm said.

The company's shares were up more than 5% in recent trading.
