CBIZ Closes $2.3 Billion Marcum Acquisition

09:23 AM EDT, 11/01/2024 (MT Newswires) -- CBIZ ( CBZ ) said Friday it has closed the $2.3 billion cash and stock acquisition of the non-attest business of Marcum LLP.

Concurrently, Marcum's attest business has been acquired by CBIZ CPAs, an independent firm that has an administrative service agreement with CBIZ ( CBZ ), the company said.

CBIZ ( CBZ ) said the transaction is expected to allow the company to expand its services in the accounting, tax, advisory, benefits, insurance, and technology sectors.

The company said it anticipates the deal will be accretive in 2025, contributing an estimated 10% to adjusted earnings per share.
