Celanese Q3 Adjusted Earnings, Sales Decline -- Shares Fall After-Hours

04:51 PM EST, 11/04/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Celanese (CE) reported Q3 adjusted diluted earnings late Monday of $2.44 per share, down from $2.50 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $2.84 normalized.

Net Sales for the quarter that ended Sept. 30 was $2.65 billion, down from $2.72 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $2.69 billion.

For Q4 the company expects adjusted EPS of about $1.25. Analysts polled by Capital IQ expect $2.92.

Shares were down more than 14% in recent after-hours activity.
