Celanese to cease operations at Lanaken facility, layoff 160 employees

Oct 28 (Reuters) - Chemical firm Celanese said on

Tuesday it plans to cease operations at its acetate tow facility

in Lanaken during the second half of 2026.

The company also said the decision may impact about 160

employees from manufacturing and support functions at the site.
