Cement prices likely to go up by Rs 15-20 per bag, says NCL Industries
Mar 1, 2019 8:53 AM

Hyderabad-based NCL Industries Ltd on Friday said there is a proposal to increase cement prices by Rs 15-20 per bag. This move comes after southern cement players increased cement prices over the last month.

In an interview to CNBC-TV18, K Ravi, managing director, said NCL Industries Ltd is seeing robust demand, especially from the infrastructure sector.

"It’s almost 60 percent in trade and 40 percent is non-trade. We are not getting the same price increase in non-trade. The non-trade price increase is around Rs 25-30 per bag. The price difference between trade and non-trade is Rs 30 per bag,” Ravi said.

On the sales volume, he said, "This year, NCL Industries will be ending up about 2.1 million tonne."
