Cemex Sells Guatemala Operations for $200 Million

05:33 AM EDT, 09/11/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Cemex (CX) said Tuesday it has sold its operations in Guatemala for about $200 million to Holcim Group.

The divestment included one grinding mill, three ready mix plants and five distribution centers.

The move is a part of the company's efforts to divest its assets in emerging markets such as Guatemala, where proceeds will be used to focused on developed economies like the US, Cemex Chief Executive Fernando Gonzalez said in a statement.
