Cemex to Divest Dominican Republic Operations
Aug 5, 2024 5:34 AM

08:06 AM EDT, 08/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Cemex (CX) said on Monday it would sell its operations in the Dominican Republic to Cementos Progreso Holdings and its partners for about $950 million.

The transaction includes export businesses to Haiti, the company added.

The company said the sale includes a major cement plant with production lines, as well as cement, concrete, aggregates, and marine terminal assets.

Proceeds from the sale, expected to be completed in Q4, would support Cemex's investment strategy in key markets, particularly the US.
