Cenovus Energy in talks to acquire stake in MEG Energy, Bloomberg News reports

Aug 12 (Reuters) - Cenovus Energy ( CVE ) is in talks

with with Indigenous groups in Canada to jointly buy a stake in

MEG Energy ( MEGEF ) worth C$2 Billion ($1.45 billion), Bloomberg

News reported on Tuesday, citing people familiar with the

discussions.

Cenovus Energy ( CVE ) did not immediately respond to Reuters

request for a comment.
