12:45 PM EDT, 10/11/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Centene ( CNC ) said Friday its Medicare Advantage memberships enrolled in plans that are rated at least 3.5 stars is about 46%, based on the 2025 Medicare Advantage Star Ratings that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services issued Thursday.
This is higher than the roughly 23% in the prior year, the company said in a regulatory filing.
"This represents meaningful progress and is consistent with internal expectations despite higher than industry-anticipated cut point changes," the company said, adding that it is appealing its teletypewriter results with CMS.
Centene ( CNC ) shares were up nearly 2% in recent trading.
