CenterPoint Energy Appoints Jesus Soto as COO

01:59 PM EDT, 07/21/2025 (MT Newswires) -- CenterPoint Energy ( CNP ) said Monday afternoon that Jesus Soto Jr. will join the company as executive vice president and chief operating officer on Aug. 11.

The company added that Soto will oversee electric operations, gas operations, safety, supply chain, and customer care functions, across all the states CenterPoint serves.

Soto has served as executive vice president of Quanta Services ( PWR ) since 2023 and before that acted as COO for Mears Group. He also serves on the board of directors of GTI Energy, as is chair of the industry pipeline safety management systems team of the American Petroleum Institute, according to the statement.
