08:38 AM EDT, 07/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Centerra Gold ( CGAU ) has acquired around 9.9% of the issued and outstanding common shares of mineral discovery firm Midland Exploration in a private placement.

Midland said Monday it closed the private placement of about 10.7 million shares for gross proceeds of approximately C$5.1 million ($3.7 million).

Midland also entered into an investor rights agreement with Centerra for certain rights, including the right to participate in future share issuances in order to maintain its percentage of share ownership in Midland, according to a statement.
