Centrus Unit Delivers High-Assay, Low-Enriched Uranium to US Department of Energy

07:21 AM EDT, 06/25/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Centrus Energy ( LEU ) said Wednesday that its subsidiary, American Centrifuge Operating, has produced and delivered 900 kilograms of high-assay, low-enriched uranium, or HALEU, to the US Department of Energy.

The company said it achieved its production target for phase 2 of its contract with the Energy Department and has now delivered over 920 kilograms of HALEU under the agreement.

Centrus said it is advancing to phase 3 of the contract, which includes a newly awarded one-year extension through June 30, 2026, and options for up to eight additional years, pending appropriations.
