Certerra Announces Acquisition of Farabaugh Engineering and Testing

LAS VEGAS & MCKEESPORT, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Certerra, a leading provider of technology-enabled testing, inspection, and certification services for critical infrastructure, today announced the acquisition of Farabaugh Engineering and Testing (“Farabaugh”), a specialized provider of product testing, auditing, and engineering services for construction and building components with a growing footprint across the United States. This transaction expands Certerra’s Analytical Labs and Building Products Divisions, enhancing its technical capabilities and geographic reach in key U.S. markets. Since 2021, Certerra has completed 16 acquisitions of leading firms throughout the U.S. as it builds a national platform for testing, inspection, and certification services in materials engineering and the earth sciences.

For 40 years, Farabaugh has delivered advanced laboratory and field testing capabilities to evaluate the strength, durability, and thermal performance of construction materials such as concrete, steel, and composites. Farabaugh is IAS 17020 accredited for AC472 and AC473, offering compliance and quality audits for the metal building industry in support of complex construction projects. Farabaugh’s professional staff and proprietary laboratory equipment strategically enhance Certerra’s testing capabilities.
