09:14 AM EDT, 05/21/2025 (MT Newswires) -- As parliament gets set to reconvene next week, nearly two-thirds, or 62%, of small business owners aren't confident that Canada's new federal government is committed to supporting small business, finds new data from the Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB).
CFIB is concerned that the new government doesn't plan to introduce a budget this sitting, as there are some important tax policies that need to get across the finish line, it noted in a statement published on Wednesday.
Some of the key small business priorities include tariffs, carbon tax, capital gains and tax-free rebates, stated CFIB.
