10:39 AM EDT, 06/06/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Charles River Laboratories ( CRL ) said Thursday it has opened a new Charles River Accelerator and Development Lab facility in Somerville, Massachusetts, to expand access to contract vivarium space.

The new facility is expected to meet growing demand for more flexible vivarium and bench space, along with on-demand in vivo study support services, in Massachusetts, the company said.

Shares of Charles River Laboratories ( CRL ) were up about 1.7% in recent trading.
